Power and Performance of the 2024 Genesis G70

The new base engine on the 2024 Genesis G70 is a 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder unit. The engine delivers 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. This represents an increase of 48 horsepower and 51 pound-feet of torque over the old 2.0-liter unit. The power upgrade enables 0-60 performance in under 6 seconds.

The upgraded engine remains a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 unit. It develops 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. With this engine, the 2024 G70 can do the 0-60 sprint in less than 5 seconds.

All 2024 G70 variants come with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The driver can manually select gears via standard steering-mounted paddle shifters. Buyers are also offered the choice of rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive, regardless of engine selection.

The 2.5T also gets some notable handling and braking upgrades for the 2024 model year. It receives the same Brembo braking package as the 3.3T. This brings enhanced braking capabilities to match the increased engine outputs. Furthermore, handling characteristics have been improved by the inclusion of standard adaptive suspension.
